Weave Photos

This image is a image that is woven.  Jason Chen is the artist of this project and it is showing movement in the pictures that are shown.  I do not know how I feel about this.  I really like the idea of the image being woven, but having it show the movement in the image is really cool and it would have been hard for just a normal image to show the movement because it could make the image blurry.  I really like the woven idea because it is really unique.  I like how there is still different shades in all of the woven pieces and how it does show movement.  This image was found on: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2016/04/photographic-images-that-weave-moments-in-time-by-jason-chen/. I would definitely try to find an image of myself that shows movement and have Jason Chen do the woven effect to the image just to see how it would turn out.

Rainbow Foam

This image has really popped out to me because of how the foam of this coffee is colorful not just white and brown that normally is on top of a latte. I found this image on: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2016/04/a-creative-barista-devises-method-for-pouring-rainbow-foam-lattes/.  It has a lot more images of all different colors and there is also a video of someone actually pouring the latte in a cup.  It is really interesting of how they do that.  I think that this makes drinking coffee a lot more fun and exciting because there is really beautiful warm and cool colors that are on the top of your drink.  The design of this image on the foam is really beautiful and the colors make it so much better.  I do not drink lattes, but I think I would try it with all the really cool colors.

Floor Art

This awesome floor decoration is at Freiburg School at the Museum fur Neue Kunst in Freiburg, Germany.  The painter Peter Zimmermann did his painting on canvases and then he decided that he wanted to make the floors his next project.  It is all abstract on the floor which makes it look very unique and cool.  The reason I believe that I like it is because the walls are all white and so that makes the floors pop out and it helps the museum get color in their because people now go to the museum for not just the canvas paintings, but now for the floor as well.  I think it would be a lot of fun if I could paint the floor that people walk on and if it would look as good as Zimmermann's floors then that would be the best thing in the world.  I found this amazing picture and other ones from Peter Zimmermann's images is: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2016/04/1400-square-feet-of-candy-colored-resin-layered-onto-the-floor-of-a-german-museum/. WaterColors

This image is actually not a picture that someone took, this is actually water colors.  I know it shocked me too.  How precise the lines and how the stained glass windows look it really surprises me. I love the colors that the artist decided to use because they are not unrealistic and they go well together.  The angle from this view point is also a really cool image because this way people will be able to see the stained glass windows and they can see all of the details that are in the church.  The details in the light source is done very well and neat.  I really enjoy this image because at first it fooled me that someone actually took a picture of the inside of this building.  It reminds me of "The  Hunchback of Notre Dame and the inside of the beautiful churches that he lives in.  The colors are both warm and cold.  I believe that the colors work really well together and make this painting the way that it is.  If the artists used other colors it would not have been the same.  I found this image on: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2016/04/new-architectural-watercolors-by-maja-wronska-2/.  There are other watercolor images that you will be able to see. Neon House

This is a picture from the inside of a two story home that is a place where you walk in the front door, but that does not mean that it is the exit as well.  There are other places in the home that you can open and it is a way to another room of the house.  This reminds me of the movie and game of "Clue" with the secret passage ways.  The one reason that I chose this image was because of all the colors that is in this house.  I was looking at other images and all of them look exactly like this where the black lights and all the neon colors.  I really like the textures that are all around this house with the rocks and wood.  It reminds me of a prom theme, but it is inside this house.  From this angle of where the picture is taken it really gives a different perspective than if it was just eye level.  This way people will be able to see the ceiling and how much more details there is on the ceiling and how the colors look as well.  This would be a really cool way to have your house and it would be a great Halloween party theme.

Tree Houses in Plants

This is a close up picture that is on the website: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/.  These are all different types of plants that have different designs of trees houses.  Some of the tree houses are smaller and some are bigger and have more levels.  When I look at this image I think about little children and how some of them believe in fairies.  As a child I would have thought that these are fairies tree houses and I would probably use my imagination.  This is a really good idea to have children excited about plants because if I was a parent I would tell my children that if they would like fairies to come and have fun in this tree house that they would have to keep the plant healthy.  This does help with not just having a normal plant, but with having this tree house in it, it will add character to it and add some fun to the plant.  There are many images of different plants and some of the tree houses are really cool and unique.  Very creative idea.

Wood Painting

This image is also from the website: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/.  I really enjoy this image also because of all the textures in the background and how they are all not going the same way which I think that it looks more unique and beautiful because if they were all going the same way it would not have the same affect as it does now.  The painting on the boards is two people and when I first looked at it I could not see the second person on the top, but I can see it now and I believe that it has something to do with love because they are holding each other close together and they look like they are kissing or about to kiss.  This painting makes me feel happy and loved.  I also really enjoy the colors because they are all the same and different.

Lake of Mirrors

This image is very beautiful to me because I think that it is very unique and I have never seen anything like it.  When I first looked at this image I really thought that he was on a lake and I did not understand why the lake was broken up near the front of the image.  After I looked at it harder I thought that it was really cool because I believed that it was a lake.  The sky is absolutely beautiful and so is the scenery.  I was able to find this image at http://www.thisiscolossal.com/.  There is a video on it and I watched it and it is really amazing.  I would like to see more images like this because that is really cool and I would love to be able to do that or see more.

Peacock Feather

When I first looked at this picture, I thought that it was a really pretty bracelet, but after I kept reading its description I realized that it was a peacock feather.  This is what a peacock feather looks like underneath a microscope.  I did not know that it had this many details and after I look at it I can somewhat see that it is a peacock feather, but it still looks like a bracelet to me as well.  The beautiful colors are mixed together and they are little sections of the colors.  This images is very amazing because it does mess with your mind with what the image actually is.  How the feather looks woven is also really unique but I can see why the feather would be like this, so the pieces of the hair do not come apart.  This up close image is very beautiful and this makes me wonder what other things look this cool up close.

I'm Free!

This image was found on Pinterest.  I normally do not look at Pinterest for different types of art work, but this one popped out to me because it is on normal line paper and it is something that I could do.  There were so many other art works on Pinterest that I could be able to potentially do.  I really like how this image tells a story and how this baby/person is getting off of the paper.  It really does look like there is actually someone on the piece of paper and the final piece of the story is good because this shows that the person really is "real."  All of the proportions of this human never changes which is good because it makes it look more realistic.  I really enjoy looking at images like this and I hope that I could maybe be able to do these types of images too.

Deer in Forrest

This images if from the website: http://www.commarts.com/column/make-ready.  I really enjoy this image because it honestly looks like a school project that a student had to make because they are talking about nature.  Even though it looks like a student made this it looks good because of all the texture that is in this image.  Like on the deer it has a bunch of layers with the spots and the eyes and even with the legs because they are not just flat, they are actually making the deer stand up.  If this is an ad, which I believe it is, I would definitely look into what this ad is for because of all the colors.  There are a lot of colors in this image that really catches your eyes like the warm colors, red, orange, and yellow.  This is a very cute idea for a project for a school project or just to make.

Erotic and Abstract

This image has really stuck out to me while I was looking at the website: http://hyperallergic.com/287817/erotic-and-abstract/.  This is an abstract and to me it really pops out than all the other ones due to the coloring and where the circles are in the image.  I really like the black, white, gray, and the really pretty shades of pink.  That color scheme is really beautiful and it also really makes the white and black circles pop out more.  I enjoy how the black and white circles are opposite to each other every other.  When I look at this image I look at the biggest circle because it is bigger than the other one and then it is also in the middle of the image.  I would love to someday be able to make something along these lines with making an abstract.  I really like this image a lot.

Olympic Athletes Made Of Paper

This is one of the most amazing things that I have seen in my life.  These figures are found on http://www.thisiscolossal.com/.  There are other sports that are made out of these layers of paper.  This must have to take a lot of skills because it looks just like a person and in this image a bicycle.  I really would like to figure out how many pieces of paper this bicyclist is made out of.  There are all different types of sizes of the paper and it shows some of the muscles that a person has.  I could not image all of the hours it must have been to make this athlete.  It would be really cool to have an image like this of yourself doing the sport that you love.

Plant Lamps

This is a really cool experiment that is actually working.  This object is a lamp that gives off sunlight in a lamp for a plant to grow.  I think that it is a very creative project and very unique.  I like how it would be in the air because normally plants are always on the ground and with this being more in the air it would easier for people with back problems to water this plant.  I do wonder how the light is mostly like the sun for the plant to grow.  The picture itself though is very cool because of the angle that the picture is taken at and also with the shadows and lights it really looks beautiful where it makes me want to buy one of those.  This is a very unique experiment and it really makes me think green.

Knitted Shoes

These shoes just look so comfortable.  Not only are they knitted, but if someone was wearing these I would just think that they are normal shoes, when really they are just like slippers.  How realistic they look is absolutely unbelievable and the colors are a very interesting pick.  I do not know if I enjoy the brown that is on then, but this whole set up is really cool.  The back ground really brings out the pink and the blue in the shoes.  I found this image on a cool website that has other crazy knitted items on there like a phone, headphones, computer, bracelet, etc.  I wish I had the talent to knit like this and make it realistic.  Also, the knitted jewelry is something that I would definitely wear!!! Cookie Art

When I first looked at this image I did not think that it was cookies, I really do not know what I was thinking it was, but cookies did not come to mind.  As I was looking at all of this crazy details, I thought to myself how is everything so neat and perfect.  How can the frosting come out so nice for the flowers or even just the dots?  The colors that are used on the cookie for the flowers are very beautifully done and I enjoy how they are all different in their own way.  I really enjoy the lace on the bottom of the cookie. That must have been hard to get in the very beginning.  These cookie arts are all over the internet, I even find some on Facebook and it just gets me excited to see all of these amazing different art works that are on the cookies.  I would some day be able to to do something similar to this, but I do not think after being able to make cookie art I would even want to eat the cookies.  I do enjoy looking at this and the place that I found this where it shows how the artist did it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=305YQqGrpZo.  Enjoy!

Smit's Tool Design

This design/image is from myself.  I was in a class named 2D Digital Design, and we had to choose an item to create.  We took our object and we took a scan of it and I went into Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and I went around the object and I experimented with the line lengths and widths.  One part that was hard to create was the teeth marks on the wrench.  It is not exactly perfect, but it was the best that I could of done.  I really enjoy my image because it is a somewhat simple object, but when I picked it I was one of the last ones to go and this and a different object was left.  All of the images that people created were really good, but if you would like to look at my blog for this 2D Digital Design class here is the link: http://jensmitart101.blogspot.com/.

Chalk Art

This picture has me laughing because it is just so funny!! Chalk art is getting very popular throughout the world.  I have always wanted to see chalk art in person, but the only thing close to that would be me drawing on the sidewalk at home!  What shocks me the most is how these pictures actually look like from up above because these images are actually at an angle and the camera is at the angle that it looks how it is suppose to look.  I really enjoy looking at the images at the link: http://www.thisiscolossal.com/.  How realistic that these images are is incredible with the shading that is around it and the scale of them all.  I wish that there were more chalk art around the world, or a class so I could be able to learn!  The money also has a good effect with this chalk art!

Smart Jumprope

https://youtu.be/PcBxYMsQr1g  This is a link to one of the coolest things that I have heard of.  It is called the smart jump rope and with this jump rope you do more than just jump.  You are able to see your progress with how much you have jumped and all the calories you are burning while you are jumping.  Another thing that you can do with this jump rope is set it to an app that you can get on your smartphone and you may be able to do competitions and all of that fun stuff.  This really stood out to me because I was on a competitive jump rope team and I would have loved to see how many times I was jumping in a rope.  I am no longer on the jump rope team, but I still like to jump rope for a workout, but sometimes I will forget what number I am on and with this rope that would help so much!  The technology that they used to make this rope is really interesting and how the rope can be programmed with an app on your phone is even cooler.  How the technology is being used throughout the world now is absolutely incredible.

White Pumpkin and Blue Smoke

I found this picture off the website of Plenty of Colour (http://plentyofcolour.com/).  These pictures have really intrigued me because of the amazing colors that are in each of the pictures.  I really enjoy this picture in particular because the background of this image is white, but the pumpkin is also a shade of white/cream.  The blue smoke in this image really pops and it is a very beautiful shade of blue.  I enjoy the smoke effect because it also looks like it has a spell cast on it.  This picture also reminds me of the Disney movie, "Cinderella."  With some of the other images on the website look like the melon, vegetable looks like they have eyes and that the smoke is coming from their mouths and/or ears.  Depending on how they artist cut the object it can look a little funny.  This picture is probably my favorite because the blue really pops out in this image.  I recommend looking at this website because it is probably my favorite so far!

Wild Wood Image

This picture is absolutely beautiful.  I really enjoy the color that is in the image alone with the textures that are all around.  The calm color of brown is normally not a color that someone would enjoy using, but with this image the brown really is a beautiful color especially for what the website is for which is "Wild Wood."  I also like this image because of the texture.  There is texture on the table or counter that the coaster and the other object is on, which the texture is going from the upper left corner to the lower right corner.  The texture on the coaster is going from left to right.  The texture that I enjoy the most is from the object that I do not exactly know what it is.  To me it looks like a candle of some sort, but the texture is really pretty with the bumps that it has on what I am assuming is glass.  The color is also something that I like with that object because it draws your eyes attention there because it looks like sun shine is coming through it.  this image is by a graphic designer named Fabien Barral.  Some of his other images are really unique and it really is nice to see some woods images. All Over Vertical Lines Image

This image is a new display at the Galerie des Galeries in Paris.  I was able to find this image from the website, "Eye on Design: aiga."  As I was looking at this image I have noticed that not a lot of people will wear vertical line on their clothing.  I realized that people who do have to wear this type of clothing would be referees, and people who are in jail, etc.  I like how this image has text with it and how the words work with the vertical lines.  I do like how the "All" has little lines instead of having the lines the same height as the rest of them because people would not read it as all they would read it as "A."  The "Over" part of the image confused me in the beginning, but to me the reason that "over" is in the upper right hand corner and sideways is because it is all over, meaning that it is not just next to the "all" and it just makes a lot more sense that it would be in the upper right hand corner.  To find other cool images like this one I was able to find this image at this link: https://eyeondesign.aiga.org/once-radical-are-vertical-stripes-now-a-purely-aesthetic-design-choice/.

"They Walk In His Ways" by Tazeen Quayym

This piece of art is called "They Walk In His Ways" by Tazeen Qayyum.  Found at this link: http://wondereur.com/collections/Tazeen-Qayyum. This is a picture that is of cockroaches which to me I would never do a piece with that insect because they are very disgusting to me.  A lot of art work that is done by Tazeen Qayyum id done with dead cockroaches.  In this artwork, Tazeen Qayyum said, "They look alive now." I do agree with her on that they look alive and it looks like there is a lot of them and it is like they are walking from a hole and coming towards the edge of the paper.  I would really like to know why this artist decided to use red color instead of maybe the color that the cockroaches actually are.  Another question is why does she not have a lot of details in the picture.  Although, they may have thought that they would not need details because as the audience I knew that they were cockroaches.  I do like the feeling of the image coming out towards the audience.  All of her other works are done well and it was hard to just pick one.  This picture is "opaque watercolour on hot press." 

Mona Lisa

The Mona Lisa is one of Leonardo Da Vinci's most famous paintings.  I am learning about Leonardo Da Vinci in my Art History class and it is really interesting to me because of all of the details that are in the painting.  It is all dark colors and not many brighter colors.  Even with the dark colors, you can still see all of the details that are in the painting.  Especially since it was painted in the early ages, that is good in proportion with the head and her body.  The background looks like there is a creek back behind her and the trees so that means that she must be sitting outside.  The shading id done very well with her neck and hands.  They are darker than the other parts of her skin shown because it would be the light hitting.  This is one of my favorite paintings from the early ages and I like it because it can be a simple painting, but it has good details that I absolutely love it.

Digital Story: Ideas

My first project in Bugs, Bitmaps, and Banksys is a Digital Story that has to do with photos and also with text.  In the beginning I had three different ideas. One was about a poor person experiment and the other two were more on the funny side with who the true super heros are of the world and the last one was about soccer. I thought that the True Super Hero one was going to be the most fun. It is going to be how parents are the true super heros of the world, even though sometimes we have to be reminded.
